Is there anything better than the warm scent of freshly baked cookies? Among the many flavors and dishes associated with this special time of year, Christmas Cookies hold a special place in the hearts of holiday enthusiasts and foodies alike. That’s why today we have brought you an easy Christmas Cookie recipe to leave by the tree for Santa Claus’s arrival.
Ingredients:
– 2 cups of all-purpose flour
– 1 cup of softened butter (room temperature)
– 1 cup of powdered sugar
– 1 egg
Instructions:
- Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F).
- In a large bowl, mix the butter, powdered sugar, and egg.
- Sift in the flour and mix until a uniform dough ball is formed.
- Cover the dough in plastic wrap and refrigerate for 30 minutes.
- Roll out the dough on a floured surface with a rolling pin until it’s 1/4 inch thick.
- Use cookie cutters, round lids, or a knife to cut the dough into desired shapes.
- Place the shapes on a greased or parchment-lined baking sheet, leaving space between each cookie.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes or until the edges of the cookies are golden.
- Let them cool on the tray for a few minutes, sprinkle with powdered sugar “snow”, and voilà, enjoy these delicious and easy Christmas Cookies!
